Hey all-- All Things Considered on National Public Radio reviewed The Orb's U.F. Off tonight...and though I tuned in during the middle of it, I do remember the following blurbs: "great for making out" "cute and whimsical" --description of little fluffy clouds Why is it that whenever I hear someone in the mainstream media reviewing a little idm (regardless of what that cd may be), it always makes me fall over laughing? *rhetorical question* I'm not a huge Orb fan, but it seems that they deserved a little more than what they got. Cheesy and misunderstanding as it was, the review was not all bad...the man describing it did say what he intended to be quite a few positive things. Did anyone else hear this review? ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

I did.. The day before they also played some DJ Krush from "Milight" in another piece on 'electronic' music. Even in tiny snippets, public radio still beats down the other DFW radio stations- sad (except KTCU!) The Orb piece was intro'd before the commercial break by the guy saying "... a 'best of' CD from a band youve *never* heard of - next, on NPR ...." Meanwhile Madonna wins the 'best dance music' artist Grammy award for singing over William Orbit's Ray of Light crap. what a country.. ernie Ernesto Ikerd, (817) 763-4795 Company Graphics, Dept 17, MZ-1156 Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems Fort Worth, Texas

the NPR reporter also said " fluffy little clouds " and said " what I like best about the orb " it sounded like he was reading this stuff off a card.. and I believe it was an editor for spin magazine that did the report.. oh well.. another case of who you know not what you know.
