Some of you oldsters may remember Mr. Grant Horne, a very active IDM
participant back in the day. He just dropped me a line out of the blue and
asked me to forward the following message along to the list...
---------- Forwarded message ----------
hello, all. its grant horne, former clear-records-and-luke-vibert-head
that freed himself from the shackles of the idmlist in november of '97
and never looked back.
just dawned on me that i've left the luke vibert page
[www.brainwashed.com/vibert/] out to collect dust for the last two
years. kinda sad to see it fall apart. if any of you are interested +
up to the challenge of taking the reins and maintaining phat luke.
nightmare, please send me an email and i'll hook you up with jon
whitney, the owner of brainwashed.com.
if any of the old guard is interested in my well-being, i'm in new
orleans, hawking horrible syndicated and network programming in the
marketing department of the abc-tv affiliate here. i've released two
drum'n'bass records, one as olivetti on the k label and one as cesei
on my imprint, korporate amerika. last summer, at the tender age of
23, i got sucked back into the rave scene, as participant, dj and
promoter. i knew things were getting bad when, in late august, i
realized i had a pacifier around my neck and glowsticks in my mits.
phew. grant went candy-raver. i've since been deprogrammed, but i
still own several pairs of baggy pants.
i've got a d+b 12" and german/uk techno mix disc coming out soon
under the korporate label, so try to peep that out if you want. and
might i recommend a few projects of my new orleans pals :
point_and_click, neutral, nuance and klebold+harris.
i still check out the archives every now and again. its a far cry
from the '93-'95 glory days, but its still good for an uneasy laugh
now and again. i'd appreciate it if some of my old idm bods who are
still out there would give me a shout so we can play catch-up.
take care, all.
fuck art. lets dance.
grant
