hi all, saw a mention of Thug's excellent recent CD in the votes for best ambient albums, so thought I should mention there's a new update at the Monotonik site with a exclusive new Thug track on mp3, "Sudafed x2". Thanks to him for providing it - there's going to be more to come over the coming weeks, so I'll try to post when new tunes come along. The URL for the release is: http://www.mono211.com/content/releases/mtkmp20.html ..thanks h0l. (h0l@mono211.com) ps - anyone got any recommendations for good idm Net radio on www.live365.com ? My station: http://www.live365.com/cgi-bin/directory.cgi?autostart=h0l211 ..has only just started, but currently i'm mining more of the triphop vs. pop vs. ambient end of things (Frazier Chorus, Massive Attack, Money Mark..) ISDN/cable/DSL only, sorry. pps - came across a Luke Vibert Kiss FM excerpt with a Thomas the Tank Engine-sampling track done by him. I take it this has never got an official release? It's kinda cool :) ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

This track also appears on the demo-cdr released (tentatively?) through Splashdown (S. Australia), called 'Please Don't Tell Me That's Your Volvo'. I played a track called "Lull" last Saturday which reminds me of some early Plaid with Thug's signature sound experiments. Thug's demo-cdr contains 17 tracks of video-game styled electronica tied to bright melodies, gritty ambience, and snappy bleeps all wrapped up in a tight 65 minutes. Fans of Lackluster, Plod, Arovane and even Plaid will enjoy this release. But keep in mind that these sounds would best fit a Nintendo or Playstation soundtrack. Thanks for the review Pietro! I am all ears, hey do you have any specific information like the Month(or a close approximation)? Nintendo or Playstation soundtrack? Either its good or it isn't, and I am guessing that it is. kelley (and others): if you are interested in thug's material, a new label here (systorm) in nyc is putting out a comp called "sound options," on which thug has a GREAT track. it sounds like you're coming into a village in Zelda or something. the comp has a lot of other artists doing similar things soundwise, and it should be a great release. safety in numbers will be handling distribution, and it *should* be out sometime in may. there are mp3s available on the server to preview: www.systorm.com also, definitely check out pliant's VERY LIMITED release, also on systorm. zachary zim200is7.nyu.edu --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

mornin' 3 quick things pls could someone tell me which ae track is on mind the gap 13 (gonzo circus)? i have just got copies of mind the gap 5 (autechre exclusive - nomina) and mind the gap 11 (includes the gescom track skfl2 as found on alt. freq. 1) for those interested these are readilly available in italy for about £10 a piece also the buck-tick heavy box with the aphex and ae mixes is still for sale in japan at $50 theses prices are below half the current ebay prices last of all, sorry in advance, i picked up lego feet for £3.50 this weekend and intend to sell it soon on ebay for cash - the funny thing the bloke in the shop said that the relatively high price was due to a rumour that it was a "mystery" release from warp (i know its not) - a fashionable label - very hard to keep your nerve in such a situation ;] cheers benjib www.tapirindustries.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
