I spent the last 4 hours sorting thru 2000 messages from IDM...maybe 100 keepers, the rest a bunch of bullshit (commercials, ricci, playlists, yuck). Don't you people have anything better to do? Content to follow, reviews coming soon... Che

do playlists *really* bother people that much? i actually *like* to see what folks are playing in various places and on various radio programs -- but i guess im a little biased there.. but really, arnt radio programs that are available online featuring idm artists about as important to an online mailing list of such music as important as it gets? it gives the artists recognition, it gives the folks playing the music recognition (most of the shows are done by folks for free for the enjoyment of the music) it gives the labels recognition.. people have a chance to see what others are listening to, can tune in and listen, be exposed to new music (we're not ALL rich enough to keep up with all the music thats talked about here)... i dont know.. maybe its silly, but im curious what other folks think.. because i would hate to think i am annoying people with posts about radio programs. but if thats the case, perhaps fs/ft lists, webpage mentions, and posts/updates from labels are a waste of time as welll? and for the record, in the last year, i have gotten less than 10 promos from playlists that i have posted to this list -- im not doing it to be some promo whore (well, lately ive flakey and havnt sent one out :) -- i just figured folks, especially some of the less known artists on this list, would like to see whats going on radio wise. wee! oh, and why is it most girls would rather cook me dinner than listen to a radio? :) .crz__ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ music, four lunchpails: wednesdays 7-8pm kuci 88.9fm www.kuci.org "chicks dig laptops"

I'm happy reading playlists when I've got the time. As long as they are announced as such in the subject header, one has the option to open or delete them. I generally read them before nuking. I *

I wasn't aware cooking had become a sexual activity. Will have to try it.

I suspect it's one of those polarizing issues, like for sale messages - some people like 'em, some people hate 'em, not a lot of people in the indifferent middle. I wouldn't mind playlists if they were clearly and consistently marked PLAYLIST: in the subject line. That way I could filter them w/ Eudora. Che
