I will be visiting Boston the weekend of Feb. 28th and I was looking for any decent record stores within the vicinity, also for any weeklies that happen on Friday and Saturday nights. I am looking mostly on the experimental/idm/noise tip, but anything tekno will suffice. Please direct replies to: teknocon@flash.net

Twisted Village in Cambridge (Harvard Square subway stop, www.twistedvillage.com) is your best bet for idm, as well as a lot of other weird cool stuff. Cambridge has a bunch of fun shops, but none are especially oriented towards electronic music. Satellite Records (Hynes/Convention Center subway stop, www.satelliterecords.com) has pretty good dance music, especially house. 4front and Boston Beat (also Hynes/Convention Center) are in the same building on Newbury Street. 4front has a good collection of jungle, although it's not huge.
