In an article on IT/BMG that was in Magic Feet a while back he stated that he was going to reissue the first three eps of the "From Beyond" series. There are suppose to be Ectomorph & Electronome remixes of I-F - Space Invaders are Smoking Grass. The I-F - Man from P.A.C.K. is suppose to be out soon. There is suppose to be a I-F/BMG collaboration, a Spacelings & Bassheads CD, an EP from Gehard Potuznik and a Dj Rotator EP and mix CD. And then he also stated a Flexitone - The Pawn Shop Years LP, planned for release on Planet E sometime this year. A remix LP of Ectomorph locked grooves is also scheduled for release on Germany's Science City label. _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? I'm sure it's mere coincidence but it seems that every time I read about IDM music I find another band "borrowing" a pre-established acts name. (more useless information courtesy of) Mr. Tangent

Do you work for Tangent Computers (my workplace uses about 400 Tangent desktops)? ...or did you just get your name from this international company? ;-) solenoid (an electromagnetic switch)

Other new Star67 (related) titles out or coming soon: Le Car - Autofuel on Monoplaza (without Vulpine, but still a scorcher) Adult - Dispassionate Furniture on Ersatz Audio (Vulpine & Kuperus, GET IT!!!!) The Men You'll Never See EP on Clone (D.I.E, Adult, Electronome, and If, how can you go wrong?) Cosmic Force on Clone (more good electro from Holland's sewer) Novamen on Murdercapital (even more underground minimal electro from the Hague) wls wrote:

Hmm, that's weird. Why three of four and not four of four? Are you sure it wasn't the first three EPs on IT? That would make more sense as the first three are Ectomorph and then numbers 4-7 are From Beyond Vols. 1-4.

I believe promo's are out and the commercial release is due soon.

That's been out for a while. It's called Variations Of A Locked Groove (or is it just Variations). It's a double LP with loads of excellent artists remixing it, including my FAVORITE... Le Car. (did ya hear that Jack?) =) Mr. Tangent wrote:

Yeah, lots of people borrow influences off of each other. Look at Kraftwelt. If that's not a blatant rip-off, I don't know what is! BTW "IT" stands for Interdimensional Transmissions. IT is a record label and not an act... -rbc3

Maybe they don't that the name is already taken. Who the gives a shit about industrial anyway? The thing that irritates me is when Industrial people call industrial music...electro. If you mention electro around them they think you are talking about stuff like Front Line Assembly, not stuff like Dopplereffekt or Cybotron.
quoted 1 line -Chaos A.D. (Squarepusher's project - there's an upstart industrial> -Chaos A.D. (Squarepusher's project - there's an upstart industrial
act with this name - he might have used it first though) I don't doubt you that there is a Industrial band called that, but maybe they are pretty obscure and not well known.

Well both probably stole it from the movie of the same name. There are many bands that share the same name. There was a band called Nirvana in the 60s or 70s. Oh and Klute on Certificate 18 isn't IDM it's drum n bass.. Dillinja uses the name Cybotron and it was obviously first used as a Juan Atkins project back in 1983. I've seem two different Soma labels.

there's a similar IDM-esque side project of Atom Heart called "Flextone") I believe Flexitone on Planet E came first. I remember seeing Flexitone on an early Planet E comp (Experiments and... something) a while back

Which as you probably know is the name of a techno band. I have dj friends that have used there names for years only to have someone take it years later. IA good friend of mine has been using H-Bomb for like 5 years and now there is a hip hop artist with that name. Another friend use to go under Stormshadowz and now there is a drum n bass artist named that. Stuff like this just happens. _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
