autumn records presents: parallel (live) + dj asterisk invisible cities nite @ brownies, NYC wednesday, april 12th 10pm or so FREE parallel is a new project by greg davis (asterisk/autumn records) and don mennerich. a laptop duo from boston that creates mostly improvised electronic music in the vein of fennesz/mego/oval/orourke/takemura/etc. parallel incorporates some live instruments as well (guitars, electric organs, electric piano, etc.) resulting in a glitchy processed sound that can range from silly and playful to eerie and cloudy to weird beats, etc. come down to brownies and hear some new music on wednesday. brownies address is 169 avenue A (in the east village) between 10th and 11th st. parallel will have their latest cd for sale, which will only be available at our shows. there also may be some autumn records discs for sale as well. asterisk will be dj'ing during the evening also, playing IDM, interspersed with just about every other kind of music you can think of. parallel will be doing a small tour this summer so keep an eye out, we may be coming to a town near you. sincerely, greg davis autumn records/parallel http://autumnrecords.cjb.net
