Hey, there, I'm looking for fouroneone on these artists: Sadie Glutz (_The Boy from Outer Space_ on Silver Planet is remarkably good, but I don't know anything about him/her/them) Toys for the Revolution (Stumbled across their [his] two releases in the cutout bin at Tower and their rather good, esp for $2!) Heller/Kaiser/Richardson (They did the remix of "Unfinished" on Can - _Sacrelilege_ which is butt-kickin d&b - who are they?) And can these artists be considered IDM? Daft Punk (housy/techoy, but great, esp the non-single trax) Intermix/Delerium/Synesthesia (Leeb & Fulber projects, all good) Juno Reactor (Godfathers of Trance) And finally, WHO THE HECK did those brilliant trance remixes of Pink Floyd????? I have _Wish You were Here_ and _Meddle_ and they are awesome!!! Scuttlebut has it as LX Patterson... TYiA, Steve. DO NOT STARE INTO LASER BEAM WITH REMAINING EYEBALL.

(some even lean towards the d'n'b side..) melodies, patterns and rhythms shine through in unordinary ways. very slick... artist: child's view title: funfair label: bubble core records cat# bc-022 track listing: 1.)the cradle of light 2.)sabure 3.)pendulum 4.)assi que dodo 5.)after image 6.)sabure (the dylan group's home-baked live version) all songs composed by nobukazu takemura best description would be a cross between 1/Tau, oval, u-ziq (lunatic harness style..), and to rocco rot. yes, it's interesting. the songs are a bit long (each about 10 minutes..) but are so damn nifty that you don't get bored. a definite keeper... artist: hautnah title: s/t label: bastet recordings (limited to 200 pressings) cat# br 014 track listing: 1.)1/4 start the rhythm 2.)kaltebegegnung remix 1998 3.)turntable infections from down under 4.)the city is not for living/the city is to run from 5.)potsdam break/under glass 6.)schaltstorung 7.)c=64/war weapons 8.)looptech incorporated 9.)bahnhof nachts halb vier, gleis zwei 10.)jagd nach mehr/rauschgift 11.)know your leader 12.)keine kontrolle 13.)sucht 14.)connection breaks from hell 15.)larm-gewalt-stille 16.)u-bahn junk 17.)hohepunkt uberfall 18.)noise break 19.)intensivstation 2:00 a.m. 20.)intensivstation 5:00 a.m. 21.)motorenstadt (first part)/lichtflut (second part) 22.)outtroduction/short comment on industrial music all songs composed by patrick stevens. {a.k.a. hypnoskull, sonar, noshinto, sona eact(r)} self-described as citybreaks and beats for the noise addicts. i'd say it would appeal to 'fans' of panacea, alec empire and the dhr crew, trash, v/vm, etc.. if you're familiar with the ant-zen/hymen label (beefcake, architect, pal, black lung, silk saw, hypnoskull, imminent starvation...) you probably know where this is going. although most of these groups are categorized as 'industrial,' they're leaning more and more towards hyper-tweaked d'n'b. (for lack of a better description...) there's also a muslimgauze vs. sonar (patrick stevens and dirk ivens i believe..)CD out if that's of any relevance. anyway, this is a very noisey, yet very addictive release. lots of material to get your feet moving. nifty packaging as well... fennesz plays (now on CD!!!), christian -- " Old Fashioned Technology in Newly Fashioned Ways... Don't suppose this is in any way related to the Witch album by an artist with the same name, from 6-7 years ago? Hmm - doesn't sound very similar. adam
