Thanks for the phat set. It was nice to chill out... I just got a Sound Blaster Live! card (which may not be the shit to a lot of you with crazy gear) and have it RCA'd to my receiver. But my receiver is wack and I'm looking for a new one. Is it possible for me to get a configuration that will allow me to record digitally on minidisc from my computer? Just a new receiver with an optical out, right? Does anyone have any suggestions? David From idm-owner-idmr4real Mon Jan 25 17:02:26 1999

There really aren't any receivers with a digital output. If you have a Soundblaster Live, which has RCA SPDIF out, all you need is a SPDIF to TOSLINK optical convertor. www.midiman.net sells a little box called the CO2 which will go both ways between coaxial and optical. You can also build your own convertor from schemos at http://www.hut.fi/Misc/Electronics/docs/audio/spdif.html
