It's about time. Urb, a quaility mag (IMO) that covers more underground stuff than other publications with their circulation, has been largely silent on IDM for way too long. BTW--They're supposedly covering Chocolate Industries in their next ish/with interview and photo. darren ---brian wrote:

I don't see the point in buying a magazine that reviews music 6-9 months after it was released. Granted they will have an occassional interesting article. Magic Feet is really cool! Another good thing about MF compared to URB is that there are no shite fashion ads with tweaked out models. Jockey Slut is a pretty good magazine as well.

It's a lot easier getting advance copies for review in the country of origin rather than overseas - I'd love to be able to review records in Urb so that publication is timely with releases, but it's often just not possible except for domestics, and even then labels don't seem to care that much. I usually have to wait until something's commercially available before review. I suspect most of the other Urb reviewers [apart from those in the UK] have that same issue, hence we tend to review records that we expect to still hold up after the lag time... Joe

that fungle is still alive! The last PBO didn't blow me away. In fact, nothing on Chocolate Industries has. It's all been kind of just... ok. I guess I just don't go bonkers over just anything that sounds like a second rate Autechre or Ae influenced.
