Went record shopping today and found an unplayed copy of Mike Dredd's MACHIINE CODES 5xLP for 5bux! it was like a box set thing and two of the (5) 12"es are collaborations with Peter Green (1 blue label, the other green) I remember seeing these sold individually for like $10 each. so of course I jumped on it immediately. Now my question: On the inside of the box it reads "143 of 167" signed Mike Dredd (oooo la la - autograph) So is this thing super rare err something? Just curious. Oh yeah one other question, am I wrong in assuming that some of the trax that I have here also appear on the recent Dredd/Green- Virtual Farmer release? thanks for your help, g btw- this is the BEST 5bux I've ever spent:) np: BISK- strange or funny ha ha (this guy should make music for movies)

It seems that quite a few US small record stores got them from distributors for free a year or two ago. (well, I know of at least 3 shops that did). The one I have was from Starbass in Portland, Oregon, and the shop owners were straight up that it was 100% profit to sell it to me for $10-$15 even for the whole box. If you didn't have some x0x-box acid, you do now, plus the fifth ep gives you an idea of what the new "Virtual Farmer" 2xLP on Rephlex is like. How did this box-set end up going out of American distributors mailboxes like it was just some extra promo, that is what I'd like to know...! Mine is numbered as well, and the vinyl is excellent pressing... <tch> (scratches head) ...whatever! solenoid On Sat, 16 Jan 1999, boomboomkids wrote:
