Just got the turntable a spinning again and stumbled on this amazing 12". The only information i've got is "Infra-Red, promo". Has anyone heard of this, or know how old it is? I can't remember purchasing it... It's a superb album, loaded with twitchy samples, drum'n bass, IDM, electro, experimental noise, much in the same vein is a Squarepusher on tranquilizers. Another slab of vinyl: This 12" is titled "V/MAX 998", inscribed: "to the power of friendship". One side of the record spins inside-out. It's a superb blend of dark experimental electronica, throbbing bass-line's, and sharp minimal techno... I'll be really impressed if someone could help me with ANY information on these... I've got an Infra-Red promo that's just a track a side. I understood it was J Majik. Sounds possible, given what you've writen. He has a good line in noisy-yet-mellow drum n bass. Prepare to be impressed ( :) ) The V/Max is from VMax records - used to be based in Lansing, Michigan, now based in Detroit, MI. Try www.vmax.net for more info (but not much more).
