%(*^!%!%^ yah! basically. autechre anti-ep werked out really well. as did incunabula. im not sure what it is about it. but jeswa - skone 12" is a definate no-no. do *not* put that 12" on to fuck. it just doesnt work it all. i think its the melodies. they make things too puzzling, they make you question things. pole - cd1 works really well for the most part as well now that i think of it. i havnt really put my finger on what makes things work and what makes them not work but im working on it. i think funkstorung - post art and aemic - aleph can be good at times, most definately beforehand. of course theres the obvious that wont work....global goon for instance. i love that album with all my heart. but the sweet melodies just dont cut it when she whispers "harder" in your ear and you want to respond accordingly but you are distracted by a tune that reminds you of sweet things like cookies and juice hour in kindergarten. sometimes the aggresiveness in the percussion can add to things but the often sharp chords above them are a bit depressing and abrasive. i think thats why alot of tri repetae and chiastic slide really dont work well either. selected ambient works 2 you would think would be perfect but theres always those tracks here and there that put you back in a cold nightmare. ive made a cassette mix of saw2 for that very reason. hmm, yah....something to think about and experiment with i guess...if anyone has any further suggestions or warnings that would be c0ol....i wish i had been told about jeswa!(*!%^*!&)^%! _.luff, j*

IDM Post of 99, so early, too. I typically turn off any music during the act, but mostly because the people I do are not music people and listen to top 40. Besides, it would seem like I'm trying too hard. Of course, it's not like I'm dating anyone who could perhaps grow used to my music anyway. The good thing about the movie Greg Araki did with those people in it (I can't recall the name) - two of them have sex to this song. I've always wanted to try that. my suggestions: SCH007: Takeshi 'mud dauber' Disjecta remix and then, PBO Takeshi Remix. nice groove. like the 'organs' [pun intended] SCALA: Naked [from Beauty Nowhere] complete with throaty vocals and a fitting title. +odd

Some of these guys are actually quite hot. I turned my ex onto Madder Rose and (sort of) Chavez.

Considering that the target person won't like it, what's the point?

Once again, IDM thinks way too highly of itself. I listen to more than IDM, and there is plenty of good music out there besides IDM. Even so, a lot of people listen to bad music by default. It's called the radio. I can tell when I go on a date and the guy's got KISS FM (cheesy pop station, not the famous one) on - things are going to go poorly.

It's like I'm dating seriously. My ex handled things ok, though. Of course, he barely talks to me now, so whee fucking whee!

Yeah, here's hoping. Maybe I'll play mu-ziq for my fuckbuddy tonight. :)
