Well some people have been posting lists of their best music of 1998. I don't want to do exactly that, but here's a list of mostly recent stuff that I've been listening to a lot recently. The first 6 are "Radical Jewish Culture" type things mostly on John Zorns Tzadik label, the rest are electronic that most of you will recognize. Ambarchi/Avenaim - The Alter Rebbe's Nigun John Zorn - Bar Kokhba and The Circle Maker John Zorn's Masada - #10 Naftule's Dream - In Search of the Golden Dreydl Gustav Mahler/Uri Caine - Primal Light Dave Douglas - Charms of the Night Sky Bjork - Hunter (Mu-ziq mix) Bjork - Alarm call (Matmos mixes) Matmos - The West 12" Dom + Roland - Industry Bleep Blip (Soundtracks to Imaginary Video Games) compilation on Lucky Kitchen Fennesz - Hotel Paral.el CD and Plays 7", also In Libro Mio 3" CD Boards of Canada - Music Has the Right to Children and various rarities Bola - Soup Highways Over Gardens comp on Carpet Bomb Attention: Cats comp and Blitter 7" on Reckankreutzungsklankewerkzeuge Recordings of Cambridge MASS Freaky Loops comp (or mostly Sydney electronic music) Probably other stuff I've forgotten at the moment.
