in reply to many private e-mails: 1) yes this is the same ex-ultra vivid scene kurt ralske. his new music is nothing like it was: it's digital and experimental. i'm releasing the cd of his new project Cathars "Amorpheus" on the Miau-Miau International label - out in <fingers crossed> March. 2) the cd-control software program is called "Atemporal". kurt used it on the Cathars album, but he doesn't think it's ready to pass around yet. if you're really curious, e-mail me and i'll have him send (privately) a description of it. janet (miss miau-miau)

I've got one that gobbles tapes ... does that count? Also, really exciting : my car tape deck has a weird habit of playing at fast forward speed (real helium stytle) till I remove the tape, bang it against the gear stick, and re-insert it. Sorry this is silly, it's Sunday night and I've spent the day ftp'ing the BB MP3's, so far downloading 104 Megs and still pumping! Thanks Aaron and all who uploaded. Can't wait to hear them. I *

I'd imagine it's pretty good. Actually, I think that's one of his tracks I've got laying around. And yes, he is the same Kurt Ralske. Oh yeah, and *cough* he remixed Fluoroscopic Kid, due out on Sonic Therapy soonish *cough*. *sneeze* Got the test pressings yesterday, they sounded great *sneeze*.

You are correct Irene. Cathars is one of Kurt Ralske's two new projects on the Miau-Miau International label: . Kurt Ralske: kyrie eleison cd (Miau-Miau Int./mm 01) . Cathars: <amorpheus> cd (Miau-Miau Int./mm 02) The kyrie eleison release features three long haunting droney ambient tracks somewhere in the neighbor- hood of the recent spybey/plotkin album, ch-vox-era seefeel, labradford, album. A mesmerizing release. The Cathars album builds upon the ambience of kyrie eleison adding a nice dirty experimental edge and sweet spacious melodies that gives this album a very oval, microstoria, pole, tom steinle, novisad, and/or dont dolby sound. An impressive musical return for Kurt Ralske and a far cry from his UVS stuff. You can hear or order the Cathars & Kurt Ralske material on the Miau- Miau International website at: http://www.miau-miau.com/ -->-Lance--- mclance@nacs.net lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
