Assuming it's the same version that is on CD1, that track is fairly
characteristic in terms of its level of dub-iness - it's a pretty rarefied
version of the style. Listening to the record is definitely more on the
cerebral than visceral end of the spectrum, although live and loud the
distinctive clicking sounds of his music were quite "visceral" (kind of gut
and ear-wrenching - in the best kind of way, of course).
Sorry if everyone knows this, but I see from the Matador press materials
that clicks and pops are generated from a randomly malfunctioning 4-Pole
Waldorf Filter which also provided the inspiration for his name.
As for you getting the CD - are Matador titles well-distributed in South
Africa?
