hey Irene do you own any Thrill Jockey on wax? or are you a CDonly person? Well most of my Thrill Jockey stuff contain a locked groove on each side of the wax The Tortoise TNT lp is one example. Thrill Jockey is a great label, cheap, and put out great music. so order any record of theres and you won't lose too much cash getting a sample of a locked groove. gilly (still glowing after the Schematic/Lexaunculpt show last nite!)

I know you idm-folks had a thread on this a while back, but now i'm going to be putting the topic to use. I don't have too many locked grooves 12s, Post Contemporary had some nice one's from Alkahest, but that's all i could scrounge from the bins today. Could someone recommend some IDM'ish, bleepy-electronica 12s i should check into? Skimo has a 200 grooves 2lp called Cologne Cycles for $20US featuring Khan, Digital Jockey, Frank Heiss, Irwin Ieschet and a few others, but i do not recognize many of these fellaz, and i do not want to shell $20 for sounds that i might not enjoy between tracks. Comments and suggestions are welcome off-list, unless you feel the need to plug on here.. Thanks. I'm a big fan of lock grooves myself. I have several dozen releases that contain lock grooves and a handful of those are lock groove-only comp releases. Here are the lock groove-only comp releases i can recommend (although many will be difficult to find these days): . Loops, vol 1 comp 12" (Serotonin) . Loops Again comp 12" (Serotonin) . Cologne Cycles comp 2x12" (Wizoo) . Noto: endless loops edition 2x10" (Noton) . RRR 500 comp 2x12" (RRR) . Jeff Mills: Cycle30 12" (Axis) . Christopher Just: Brand New 12" (Petra) I've heard a lot of the SH&W records on their Hot Air label have some really crazy locks but i personally dont have any of those. btw: does anybody have the RRR 100 lock 7" they would be willing to sell? please contact me privately. -->-Lance--- mclance@nacs.net lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
