Can someone explain this to me? I generally consider myself a warpnut, but found WAP100 to be rather poor. Any of the others would have been a better choice...

Well, I'm usually _NOT_ buying compilations; this one was the only exception this -eh, last- year... so guess what I voted for... and... I can't say I was disappointed. * The AFX/Squarepusher collaboration simply rocks * I liked the BoC track more than their album * The Broadcast track was the only of their tracks I found to like (judging by the RealAudio samples on the WARP site) * The Plaid track didn't do much for me, but then again, so does(n't) Plaid (I love The Black Dog, though...) * Autechre's "Stop Look Listen" is still one of my fave tracks; take note that I'm currently working at their backlog of releases :) * Nightmares On Wax' "Fishtail Parker" is their only track I know, but it sure is fun (NOW recommendations, anyone?) * "Wear My Bikini" == "Jimi Tenor" // 'nuff said :) (Ok, so I'm a fan...) * Plone's "Plaything" is more fun than their "Plock EP"... * "4 Dead Monks" is the only Red Snapper track I like (again judging by the RealAudio; can't get into their vocals...) * Mira Calix' track is nice; I think I really should pick up "Pin Skeeling"... * The 2 Lone Swordsmen track, compared to "Stay Down" and "A Bag Of Blue Sparks", is dull, tho, and, last and least... * Mark Bells "ASTTPWSFY"... err... let's just say LFO works better for me... Well, 'nuff said, I think... :) -- Kurt B. I also like the first album 'A Word Of Science' which sounds more like classic hiphop mixed with early rave. Avoid the singles 'Happiness' and 'Set Me Free' (which are laaaame) but if you see other singles ('Aftermath', ...) get them. They're rare and good. Major agreement there. Great (looking) lineup with WAY less-than-stellar output imo. ...Prolly because the lineup led me to expect more. jeff Michael Stein wrote:
