I'd like some opinionated guidance from some of you Clear fans: 1) I really like Jake Slazenger - Makesaracket, but HATE Kid Spatula: Reflective Lp, u-ziq: Umer Bile 1&2, In Pine Effect. Would you recommend I buy The Tusken Raiders - Bantha Trax? Any other M. Paradinas items you'd recommend for me? 2) Similar format: Fond of Dr. Rockit - The Music of Sound, but was a bit disappointed with Hopter The Doctor, really disappointed by Wishmountain's Dead - Long Live Radioboy, and all the Herbert tracks on the Phono comp. End of the Beginning (?) SUCKED. Should I try Dr. Rockit - Swingtime ep? 3) As One: The only track I like on The Art of Prophecy cd is Space Party Ethics. Is there anything similar on their In With their Arps, Moogs + Jazz Things cd or any other As One release? 4) How does Jedi Knights - May The Funk Be With You compare to New School Science? 5) GFQ: I thoroughly enjoy Goodbye Morals, Hello Happiness and Monkey Boots. Wondering if I should hunt down a copy of A Gentle Introduction to... How much of it, if any, do I already have due to track duplication? And of what quality are the remaining tracks? I don't think they sound similar at all. TR is rougher than the Slaz sound. If you bottomed out on In Pine Effect I'd say stay away from it. I rarely play the TR - BT title and when I do its just snippets. The Slaz sound

I am not familiar with TAofP but I can reccommend the As One output on the Clear label. Nice mixture of sound-styles.

Each of the two tracks on May the Funk ... have several 'parts' to them. Basically it seems like there is one track per side bracketed by numerous dj friendly intro and outro bits. I don't know which of the two tracks on MTFBWY may be on NSS. I do know the tracklistings for NSS vinyl differs from the cd version by as much as three tracks.

Hmmmm. That's tough, since I don't really think it's similar to any of those releases. It's electroish, but not as cheesy as Slazenger. So you might like it, or you might not.

The Slazenger album on Warp, Das Ist Ein Groovybeat Ja, isn't as good as Makesaracket, but you may still like it. Same goes for the album he did for SSR/Crammed under the name Gary Mosechles (I think I spelled that last name wrong).

I believe most or all of the tracks on the JK Clear 12" also appear on New School Science.

The only tracks exclusive to the Gentle Introduction 12" were a remix or two, I believe. They couldn't have been too memorable since I sold this record a while back. Greg
