the bleep bloop server admin must be on a lengthy vacation, so i'll pose this here: i've got a few mp3s whose exact origins (i.e. original release details, pressing quantity) are unknown to me, and i'd like to up them with a clear conscience (and no chance of incurring the wrath of the ever-vigilant defender of warp's "property" - greg eden) ...so if you could confirm or deny that the following are rare and/or deleted, I'd be very grateful: Gescom - Bronchusix (Autechre remix) Autechre - piobmx2 (different from piobmx19 on 'garbage') - mail-order only 12" Areyrwe Stereolab - Plastic Pulse (Feebate - Autechre remix) gracias, Nick the future: www.noisemusic.org/it -- sounds like: www.gl.umbc.edu/~nworth1 the shaman McKenna breaks shiat down: www.levity.com/eschaton/novelty.html

As much as I know they're hard to get (and all of them where on the old bleepbloop). Bye Sebastian -- Sebastian Herrfurth (seher@cs.tu-berlin.de) pages for Bernd Friedmann / Riz Maslen / Daniel Meier / DJ Krush / ... at http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/~seher/music.html

Doesn't matter if they're out of print, I'm sure they'll still end up siccing their lawyers.

This mp3, which is widely circulated, is actually Autechre's mix of '1belm' by Silvania (a Spanish band on the Elefant label).

ok...either you quoted the wrong line of my original post or you're severely mistaken about what 'piobmx2' is...since that song has pretty much the same melody as the original only it's slower and with less percussion. so i couldn't see how you could say 'piobmx2' is anything other than an alternate mix of the track on the garbage ep. They're going up tonight or tomorrow, i suppose it'll resolve aft... He wrote about the MP3 that could be found somewhere (on the old bleepbloop server ?), not about PIOBmx2 in general. To all who want to know: PIOBmx2 is a version if PIOBmx from Garbage EP, done exclusively for Whats That Noise? magazine's exclusive 7" (issue #16, if I remember right).
