Between the 4 versions of this album, vinyl & CDs on both Chocolate Industries & Ninja Tune, are there any musical differences? Thanks, Marc Poirier

Based on the information I've seen, it appears that all 12 mixes appear on the ChocInd CD, the ChocInd vinyl, and the Ninja vinyl. As for the Ninja CD, according to the Ninja website, it includes 8 of the 12 mixes (missing Sluta Leta, Phonecia, Bisk and Freeform). However, I seem to remember seeing mention somewhere of a Ninja CD with 10 of the 12 mixes - which leads me to believe that the UK Ninja CD and the North American Ninja CD are different from each other. But I'll leave that to the Ninjas to confirm or deny. Anyway, if you want all the mixes, find one of the ChocInd pressings (either format) or get the Ninja vinyl. Greg

choc indust: vinyl and cd are the same. ninja tune: have not heard the vinyl, but the cd does not have the phoenecia mix (which is on the choc indust) hope that helps some.. chris.

i got really fatigued listening to this all the way through, but then i realized that it's 12 remixes of one song by mostly techno-oriented artists, so the repetition factor is extremely high. taken as individual bits, the tracks are a good try at weirded-out rap. some are more adventurous than others to be sure, but i'll have to keep an eye peeled for the ninja vinyl, because a second copy of this can make the whole deal prit-near exquisite. eric onnow: dropshadow disease (rather interesting)

Some of the remixes are a bit err flat, but the Squarepusher, Phoenicia and Trapezoid mixes all brilliant. I kind of wish Fila Brazillia had been brought in on this project though.... :) And speaking of Fila Brazillia, more remix spotting: Sven Vath's new single, Fusion/Scorpio's Move (12" on Ultra Records) has two Fila Brazillia mixes on the b-side of Fusion. Their recent remix for Irresistable Force's Nepalese Bliss is even cooler. Aaron

I bought the Ninjatune version, Tried by 10... 10 because it lacked the Phoenicia Mx and the Sluta Leta Mx. Then I received the Chocolate Ind. version which had the 2 mixes plus the art was a bit different. The Ninjatune version had an all clear cd jewel case and the Choc. Ind. didn't. It's no matter. As for how it sounds, I enjoy it alot! As for the mentioned repetition factor... it's most understood given the source material. I like what each artist did with each track. I think its a very unique release in my mind. -- Jason McCollum jm45675@swt.edu
