The DJ kicks album is very good indeed. The CD is mixed, the LP has fewer tracks but is unmixed. Mainly old and new electro and electro-tinged techno (includes Gescom's 'Puzl' off the clear e.p.). Nothing like 'Rocking chair' at all. The exclusive track she has on it is more like 'Melodious Thunk' - moody electro. Anyone know if Rocking Chair is on the new album? I must admit I'm not all that keen on it. I think it's the out-of-tune singing. It might just be the fact that when you put the single on, you have to listen to 5 versions of it which all keep either most of the singing or strings or both - I do dislike that. Nick

Not really my cuppa chai : altogether too hip-hoppy by far (personal preference expressed here : save yer flames). In fact, her own track at the end (longest track of the 20-tune compilation - nothing wrong with giving yourself a bit of space and airtime :>) may just be my fave of the bunch ... a bit early to say though, I've just got it this afternoon. Hm, just had a look and her own track "Unconnected" is the same one that was on the Trance Europe Express (vol 5) double set. I was under the impression that the compiling artist put on an exclusive track for the !K7 series ? I *

***That was my understanding as well, Irene, until I got the Parker mix. Usually is an exclusive track from the DJ involved that has something to do with--often sampling--the other tracks on the comp directly. Andrew :)
