You're right, it's not very IDM. It's pure, droning ambience. 5 tracks, most of them around 10+ minute range. I'd place it somewhere between the Plotkin/Harris album "Collapse" from a couple of years back and the ambient stuff on the second disc of the recent DVOA, but even more minimal. I dunno, it's just good. :)

All I know is that it'll be part of the split series, and has Pole on the flipside. Don't know when it's due out, though. Greg

It's VERY drone-oriented. Plotkin's guitar stuff sounds so alien... Barely any traces of pick-string contact. Very different than Propeller or Zoviet France stuff. Like DVOA w/out radio interference...

At last check, it was a Plotkin/Pole 12". Jim confirmed this @ the Pole/Scion show 2 weeks ago in NYC. His side is supposedly more concrete oriented. Pole stuff is supposedly Pole-oriented. Should be massive. -Våt. ----------------------------------- Reckankreuzungs Klankewerkzeuge Limited PO BOX 382864 Cambridge, MA 02238-2864 USA is on line @ http://www.tiac.net/users/sheket Kindly remix a track off of RKK-0 for our RKK-13.
