hola, point 1: i need a recommendation on which mouse on mars i should purchase. i love _cache coeur naif_, and a few odds and ends tracks ("1001", "chagrin", their remix of oval)... i really didn't like _autoditacker_ very much. generally i like that kind of hazy, washed out sound they do, like oval-disco-sunstroke. so what should i buy? point 2: i'm working on doing an all-autechre radio show during the holidays. the only thing i'm really lacking is the radio mix CD they did - if anyone can burn me a CDR of it, i'd be grateful (enough to pay a fair amount of cash, incidentally). thanks. get the soniq releases "instrumentals" + "glam" if yer feeling particularly wealthy get the japanese "glam" cd w/ extra tracks, well worth it. -martin

Nobody mentioned Iaora Tahiti!! I really like that album of theirs, definately check it out. It's probably their best, although I haven't heard everything they've done. It was the predessor to Autoditacker. Autoditacker is a kind of a continuation of Iaora Tahiti except that Autoditacker, well, basically sucks. Iaora Tahiti is wonderful.. it's by far a much more inspired work than audoditacker. Some people tell me it's (iaora tahiti) their best album, I don't know myself.. I haven't heard all their stuff. Iaora Tahiti is like a hazy tropical electronic trip. Most of it is pretty laid back, the melodies are very nice. -allen

I stuck my foot in my mouth when I said this. For some reason I was under the impression it sucked, a lingering thought that hasn't left my mind since the first time I listened to it. At first I really DID hate it, because I was expecting something else.. when I didn't hear what i expected I through aside what I was actually hearing and dubbed it "suck". Later, listening to it without expectations as before I liked it very much. Now I like it alot, just as good as Iaora Tahiti ever was, just less melodic. When I didn't hear the melody the first time I was disapointed, that's why I said that. My mistake. -allen
