HAT is super sequenced glitchery from Hosono (of YMO), Atom Heart, and Tetsu Inoue. Now the funny thing is, you'd at first think something described as super-glitched might end up "experimental" or edgey. Well, somehow the trio (a masterly bunch they are) has turned things around and made something totally lush and worldly out of ultra-chopped up noises. The disc comes with little postcards from different parts of the world. And the songs themselves, damn, lemme just say this disc is going with me to Hawaii this spring. The first track "Arizona Analyzer" features some killer twang-age Spaghetti Western manipulations. Tetsu admitted in a recent interview to being a predominantly deconstructive or just plain destructive influence when collaborating with Atom Heart on releases like Datacide or MU. But with AH also focusing more on sample cut-up techniques these days, well you can imagine the crazed levels this one reaches. And it does all this while remaining totally musical. Give them Diasydiscs a whirl! no@h . . . . . . ..... . . . . . . |nf0rm@+|0n w@n+5 +0 b3 fr33 . . . . . . ..... . . . . . .
