well I got the latest Emanate releases the other day. Excellent stuff. Both the if.then.else 'realizations' and lillienthal's 'castor and pollux' are rock solid IMHO. They pick up where the Emanated comp left off: subtle and eerie stuctures with rich sound design and great melodies and progressions. The if.then.else material is a little more on the experimental/ambient side while the Lillienthal is more electro/hip hop beat oriented. If I had to compare it I would say the stuff is in the Bola/Freeform/latest D'arcangelo camp- it's a little more conventionally programmed (ie no gratuitous DSP madness) and works great as falling asleep music...I highly recommend both records. keep it up Emanate!
