Since Linux doesn't feel like letting me cut and paste at the moment: The Clifford Gilberto disc is pretty much crap. Seriously self-indulgent smooth jazz esque bass wanking, dull loungy uninspired melodies, and some spastic percussion a la squarepusher. An obvious desire to sound jazzy that just is not working. At all. I liked tracks 1 and 7 and the last one, but the rest was complete throwaway material. Plastikman - Artifakts: not as good as Consumed... or rather, not as consistent. More like "normal" Plastikman, but incredibly loopy (even for Hawtin). "Pakard" is an amazing track, and there's one other nice one, but the rest, while not that bad, were just kind of dull - I was never really pulled into the repetition and thus it didn't really work. --- the humble abbott arthur purvis set his hand hereto
