i was browsing TechnoIndex.com the other day (an excellent Yahoo!-like
directory specializing in electronic music) under the IDM artists section
and decided to check out Torley Wong because the site description looked
kitschy but interesting. it seems like he's some young guy who wants to
make more accessible electronic music by blending his Mu-ziqesque melodies
with more traditional genres of music, jazz, guitar rock, etc.. something
like that.
pretty nice stuff, especially the sound clip for "First Movement." i
haven't downloaded the complete MP3 song on the page yet. at this point in
time, i can't think of any other label bin to sort this music in to so i'm
relying on you guys for help... anyone heard of him before?

if anyone is interested in articulately discussing whether this IDM as we
know it or not. and even if you aren't interested in discussion, it's still
pretty nice stuff like i said. but maybe not IDM.
