Anyone with an Anthony Rother discog perchance? This guy is dropping some quality electro as of late, must have more. I have the Sex W/ The Machine and Trans Europa Express 12"s, both excellent. Recommendations for more of the same? Also looking for other Jedi Knights (or any other artists) along the line of CLR 406 "May The Funk Be With You"? This is the only 12" by them I have, just got it today and "Noddy Holder" is stuck on my turntable for the next week. Anything else along these lines they've put out? Heard some of the more house-oriented output, no go on that end. Need tight electro/techno, you know what I mean? A recommendation: sleeper electro tune of the year - Jackal and Hyde "Beyond" - it's on Hallucination, Rabbit and the Moon's label (I think, you're scowling already but this 12" is excellent I tell you). Someone told me one of these guys was originally in Dynamix II, which explains why this is quality...Brock (who really needs to resub to electro-breaks and stop foisting this nonsense on unsuspecting idm'ers) ____________________________________ Brock Phillips - bphil@email.unc.edu WXYC 89.3 FM The New Science Experience Tune in every Sunday night 10-12 AM EST http://www.wxyc.org for live RA broadcast Promos, demos, etc. welcome for submission Email for postal address and details... Buy the New School Science cd on Universal Language... it has some of the clear 12" on it, but the entire disc is excellent... this gets so much play here its not funny. brap@sonic.net icq_12645306 http://www.sonic.net/~brap/ coming sooner than later: sfwd0004 - pre-mil·len·ni·um soundscapes 12" our future has never been so frightening: http://williamshatner.com/

Oh, ha ha ! In case this name rings no bells with you youngsters, Noddy Holder was the ugly (imo) front-man of a late 70's or roundabout there band called SLADE who did stompers like "C'mon Ma burn your Bra" and invented their own shorthand misspelling for songtitles (all of which totally elude me now :-) ) Totally un-IDM in the extreme. I * ~~ incomplete without surface noise ~~ [Ae]

Are you kidding, its totally idm! I just mixed my "Run Runaway" 7" between Kraftwerk (tour de france) and Elektroids the other day... (humph) Don't let the swinging hithats fool you, it is really just like "Legs" by ZZ Top, and since Like A Tim reminded us that these songs are really electro... well, either you get it or don't, KWIM? Anyone know the drum machines used on these songs? Linn?...? Solenoid

Hush, IDMers. Be a little more openminded if you're scowling right now. Yes, Hallucination is Rabbit in the Moon's label.

One half of Jackal and Hyde is one half of Dynamix II. Apparently there will be another Jackal and Hyde single soon. Also coming (supposedly) soon are a double pack of "Floori.d.a" remixes (including a truly stunningly beautiful one by AK 1200) and another Hazed EP (on topic, since half of Hazed is Nick Simpson of Rhythm Invention - early Warp band).
