one in the same. there is a connection to komeda from the dot guys. dr. kosmos (of friend and dr kosmos) handles keyboards for komeda. i beleive that komeda is carried on the minty fresh label in the us. they have 2 very cool cds out "what makes it go" and "the genuis of komeda". slick pop between teh cardigans and stereolab and a little kraftwerk type mechanics thrown in. i would be very interested in dot manipulations of their sound. cl On Tue, 3 Nov 1998, Rodney Perkins wrote:

Just caught wind of a Japanese EP by an artist called Komeda (the name rings a bell for some reason - discussed here before, perhaps?) called "The Dot Mixes", featuring mixes by a bunch of Dot folks including Friend, Quant, etc? Anyone heard about this? Got some info like label, where it can be obtained, blah blah blah? Greg
