So I'm thumbing threw the used bin and I come across a 12" with a blue
label
but no data. On the jacket the previous owner wrote Aphex- Analogue
Bubblebath
so of course I play it on the dex. I don't here any fucking Aphex, but I
do hear a bunch of 303 acid, "OK I think my wife loves acid I'll buy it,
it's only 1dollar, what's the big deal"
then I flip it over and I recognize and track from Kozmik Komando's -
Frequensieze.
"Ok I think I must have found some old acid compilation cuz why else
would there be this KK track on here?" I tilt the record in the lightto
see if I can read anything in the end groove area, all I can see is
TB303. I think, "yep I was right, a compdedicated to the 303, no biggie"
so I go up to pay and the guy at the register say "OH you found the
Aphex Twin record" I reply "that's not Aphex, but it does have a Mike
Dredd Song on there" "Oh no no no it's Aphex, the Kozmik Komando" and
then I realize "OH SHIT!!!! that must be that Universal Indicator Blue I
have always wanted. Fuk ya 1 dollar? Give it to me now!" He says "Man no
one in this town is ever into this stuff I'm surprised at you" (I've
never seen this guy in my life mind you)
So that made my IDM day!!!!
