Heading of for one last stab at San Fran before I move away from here and will be hitting all the record and occult shops in the Haight St area, possibly hitting a party or two later tonight. So if you happen to see some short goofy looking guy with a light blue black doggy shirt (!!!! right on !!!!) please refain from walking right up and hitting him in the skull, but please do come on up and say hi... it probably won't be me but maybe you'll meet someone interesting :) Even more not related to idm: If any Bay Area folks catch this anytime real soon and happen to have any info on visiting the tunnels underneath Chinatown, *please* send asap... would greatly appreciate it! A wee bit idm: Tom J's new one may not be idm, may not live up to the spirit of all the greats that obviously influeneced the work, but shit, here's a guy who produced that rumbletumblejamdummy or however it went and the thing has its *own* free spirit... in a way, this is the ultimate extention of the programmed dnb jazz that appeared on worm interface 12"s (which were previously my fav TJ material, well, aside maybe from Port Rhombus, which was probably the greatest Warp release!) I honestly believe that if Tom followed this path it could turn up the Miles Davis of the 2K! Big up to Warp for putting out where Tom went to... Warp has failed to interest me as of late, but this really restored my faith it that Warp could release something different and wildly exciting. idm_? nowhere near in the sense we take it as :) Big ups to Warp for releasing this! (and I'll be damn, I've seen several posts recently by a previous 'chris' favorite idm listmembers list because they know how to write a quality post' (appearently i need to pay more attention to their posts, huh?) one, Mr. Greg! Now if we could just get Diskono@Stu, ASG, and Mr. Emanuel Borsboom back on the list, we'd really have something there... (for you who might not know, that'd be like having 4xBecker@asphodel with the informative posts :) anyways... hope you all ingnored this... *WAY TO MUCH COFFEECHRIS* brap@sonic.net icq_12645306 http://www.sonic.net/~brap/ coming sooner than later: sfwd0004 - pre-mil·len·ni·um soundscapes 12" our future has never been so frightening: http://williamshatner.com/
