lets see if i have this right concept/plastikman - v. minimal techno, v different from acid plastikstuff. consumed/plastikman - 1/2 way between acid plastikstuff + concept, not as minimal. concept v(?) - mixed by thomas brinkmann, concept played at various speeds on a 2 arm deck to add distortion and general fucked-uppery to original v. minimal techno collection. brinkmann's own stuff (12"'s?) - brinkmann fucked-uppery w/out any minimal techno underneath, leaving er, just distortion and stuff. now i haven't heard any of this but it looks like i would go for the pman/brinkmann and if good, possibly moving onto the brinkmann solo. that's if i have the above right. do i? anyone know where i can get the brinkmann concept, it seems to be missing everywhere? -martin

switch those two around, consumed is far more sparce than concept which is more danceable..just..a friend of mine loves plastikman but can't get through consumed without falling asleep..I think it's the best thing hawtin has done so far....

awesome album _but_ sucks on headphones...it just sounds like everything is out of time.but on a stereo it's brilliant. all these cool delays and echos. spaul np:gez varley p/tony montana
