Just recieved an invite to a Lo Recordings/Comercial Too "exhibition" on Thursday, centered around "30 one-minute guitar pieces by Sonic Youth`s Thurston Moore - remixed, remodelled & reshaped for your listening and viewing pleasure". Artists involved include Add N to X, Blur, David Bowie, Mellowtrons, Merzbow, Mogwai, Yoko Ono, Scanner, DJ Speedranch, VVM, Luke Vibert, Stock Hausen and Walkman, Stereolab... Sounds rather interesting (but it could be a load of old wank). Anyone else going? Thursday night`s preview night, but the show`s on from the 16th Oct to the 1st Nov, daily from 1-6PM at the Chisenhale Gallery, Chisenhale Road, London E3. 0181 981 4518 for details. <---HEATsink--->

k, the Thurston Moore thing last night...on the whole, it was shite. Couple of interesting things, like a tape reel and player made from bathroom accessories, and some stuff about the relationship between crop circles and diatonic scales... Place was ram-jammed solid with wankers in difficult glasses and James Lavelle hair. I listened to the original 30 pieces on shitty headphones with people shouting in my ear, and they sounded like a five year-old playing a cheap Fender Bullet or something. Didn`t get to listen to the potentially more interesting sounds of Vibert/VVM/3rd Eye etc.. I hope for better things at the LUX in a couple of weeks. <---HEATsink---> OPEN SPACE - www.ospace.force9.co.uk
