So if I understand correctly, the term "electro" has been used to describe techy hip-hop/breakdancing music? Can I presume the new Kurtis Mantronik album I've been enjoying so much (a comeback from his sell-out days, I'd say) fits the category? I've always loved this somewhat cheesy style of Hip-Hop (I still cherish the first Mantronix albums). I'm not crazy about labels, but if it helps you find the type you're looking for... So: recommendations, please... What are the classics I've missed out on? While I'm at it: I also used to freak for Todd Terry's stuttery House from 88-89 (like Can You Feel It and Yeah Buddy). Anything else comparable?
