I'm usually far too lazy and too much a git to thank people for the help they provide link wise and such, but I received *so* many responses to this wanted to that everyone... david toop... just received pink noir. love it, same being said for spirit world and screen ceremonies... know that there are a few odd tracks here and there on em:t comps, but is there any other material available beyond this? mogwai - my roommates kid (6 when she said i should buy the release in question) is cool as hell and when mogwai remixes 2xcd was first released and she heard it at the listening station at Reckless Records in San Fran she told me to either buy it myself or buy it for her. acted on her tortoise recommendation (think she heard that at reckless also) but only just picked up kicking a dead pig + fear satan remixes... anyone tell me how the originals of this are_? the my bloody valentine remix that had the distorted noisey loop going for something like 5+ minutes that has the nice bits slowly emerging is amazing... david holmes... picked up lets get killed a while back... dying to hear more, just looking for direction.. any help appreciated... spybey/plotkin - anyone heard the collab on kranky? tried to fit as many in here as i could to cut down my personal list traffic :) brap@sonic.net icq_12645306 http://www.sonic.net/~brap/ coming sooner than later: sfwd0004 - pre-mil·len·ni·um soundscapes 12" our future has never been so frightening: http://williamshatner.com/

This Movie is Crap Let's Slash the Seats. How can you go wrong with a title like THAT?! Although - truth be told - I've never heard it! I keep finding remixes of his here and there - like the This is Facism (Consolidated 2x CD remix project from 96) the final track is by David Holmes and what a killer it is. I *

I asked this a while back with no response, but does anyone know of anything else that's in a similar vein to this track? I want more. Some Stars Of The Lid stuff is sort of similar but less choral and more droney. Nick

There's also "This Films Crap Lets Slash The Seats" which isn't quite as good...Nowhere near as good really. His remix of the Manic Street Preachers is goood! Well, IMO. And last weeks Melody Maker reviewed a mix album by Mr Holmes and said it was one of 3 they considered worth owning (Coldcuts JDJ and Andy Smiths Document being the 2 others) -i. -----== Sent via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/ Easy access to 50,000+ discussion forums
