Which Profan releases are more of a beaty affair and fit for addition to a bumpin' post-BC-esque set? I intend on getting all the releases, but for the moment I'm looking specifically for the quality dancefloorish trax amongst the bunch. XëñØþhÿlë "Become who you are... You may want to get the Profan sampler comp cd that came out last year to get a taste of each artist's style but here are a few of my favorite Profan releases: . M:I:5: Mabstab 1:5 cd (Profan) . Jurgen Pappe: Reval 12" (Profan) . M:I:5: Tamastar 12" (Profan) . Sweet Reinhard: Believe 12" (Profan) Another label that you should definitely check out for "bumpin' post-BC-esque" trax is the Thule label. Just get their recent Fishcake comp cd/2x12" and you'll thank me later. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

definitely. also, check out pentax: das album. pentax is reinhard voigt's (aka sweet reinhard aka mike ink's brother) more abstract project; some tracks should be what you're looking for if played fast. close to the profan sound and family, but a little more lighthearted is forever sweet: geben & nehmen on ladomat. very funky near-minimalism by sweet reinhard and michael meyer & tobias thomas, 2 cologne dj legends. speaking of, "Kompakt präsentiert Michael Meyer" on Neuhouse is a very cool dj mix cd. and if you can get your hands on it, check the koeln kompakt compilation for some exclusive tracks by the usual cologne suspects. cheers, tom

The comp is an excellent place to start, as Lance mentioned. I also really like Mabstab - a friend commented that it "makes his heart beat irregularly" when he listens to it ;)

Yes! The little bit of Thule I've heard & have is great. Also very similar - a 12" by 'Salz' or possibly on the label 'Salz' - all the info I have is that word, and there's an Akai MPC-2000 or MPC-3000 drumbox/sampler on the label as well. Very good. Anyone (Lance?) have more info on this one? Cheers, Bill -- Sigma6 Interactive Media / http://www.sigma6.com dj marathon: "fibre" up now @ http://www.flatplastic.com/

Salz: s/t 12" (Salz 001) i don't have any more info on this one other than it's the first release on a new German deep techno label. a definite must have for basic channel lovers. two long tracks on this ep both in the deep bc/m style with some good crackle & pop over the top. i've heard rumors that it could be bc/cr/m related but nothing very concrete. a great record nonetheless. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
