I don't live ther but vacationed there recently... I think there is something on the 1st? tues? of the month that replaces static at 313 richt street. I could have this all wrong but I found out about it on Http://www.hyperreal.org/ under raves san fran. I actually met someone there who put me on this list (we were supposed to get chicken ad waffles in compton). There was a party at 330 Ritch on the first Tuesday in lieu of Static for the past few months, but it's all Static from now on. And that party was northern soul and rare groove - good music, but not really IDM. I was in the same boat. There are good record store on Hiaght that have nice people who like to rave. Also The Top (a bar on haight) has DnB on Tues that is good (don't be afraid to hear great music at bars, that's how it's done out there). 313 Richt street is deff. the place for IDM I just don't know when (electro most tues, it's called static). Also Spundeas is considered "Not cool" there but I had a blast when I saw Plastik Man (just be carefull it's sometimes in a rought nieghborhood). hope that helps! Anyone else tell me what I missed?
