Over to the experts? I'm doing this competition for Muzik magazine and I have a few questions that I'm stuck on - anybody able to help? 10. Everyone thinks the piano sampled on David Morales’ "Needin’ U" is from the Chi-Lites’ "My First Mistake"… the real sample is from…? (This is the sample credited on the sleeve) 14. What was the first record on Junior Boys Own? (Early JBO acts include Xpress2, Black Science Orchestra, Outrage, One Dove, Fire Island - I don't think Underworld and the Dust Brothers are early enough etc) 18. Who is Emissions artist Deanne Day better known as? (Emissions is the Sabres of Paradise label) 20. Name three names that 187 Lockdown have worked under, individually or as a team? [ I've got so far C-Ken and Gant - I'm not too sure whether Julian Jonah of 187 is the same guy as had a few house records released during the late 80s ] 21. Who has recorded under the names Caucasian Boy, Century Falls and Crime? (???) 34. Name the two members of Shut Up and Dance. (the only SUAD record I have credits "Shut Up and Dance!?!) 39. Who was the Detroit DJ that inspired Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson? (Here I have quite a mixture - for a start I know that during their early careers Jeff Mills was on the radio; however a lot of Detroit people credit a guy called Mojo; another two names I have is Ken Collier and Ron Hardy!) 42. What is the connection between early Nineties German rave outfit Marathon and Basic Channel? 43. Which record shop is behind the Azuli label. 45. Which Gang Starr tune sampled Jean-Jacques Perrey’s "EVA"? 46. What was the name of the hip house album made by Underground Resistance’ s Mad Mike and Jeff Mills? 49. What was the first Masters at work record with Louie Vega and Kenny Dope using the name? If anybody else is giving this one a shot and needs any help just give me a shout.
