In selling stuff today and had to look in the vinyl... picked up Mouse on Mars 'Glam'... Great stuff, but have a question about it... In the runoff groove, its mentiones that the release was scored by several people. Are these Mouse on Mars sideprojects? Or is this more of a compilation than a Mouse on Mars release.. . Or possibly a colloborative effort. Sorry I did not follow the thread on this. I usually don't enjoy MoM this much (seems I like the soniq releases *alot* more) brap@sonic.net[icq: 12645306] http://www.sonic.net/~brap/ sfwd prod | noisesoundnoise chris g. 1547 boston court #7, santa rosa, ca 95405

Glam is supposedly a soundtrack to a movie that never was produced. The movie was supposed to star tony danza. The names on the runout groove of Glam are all artists on MoM's A-Musik record label. They obviously all contributed in some way to the soundtrack. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

A-Music is MoM's label? Is there a discography? The only release I have is wabi sabi, which I love for no apparent reason. On Thu, 10 September 1998, at 01:29:29, Lance C. McGannon wrote:

no... sonig is MoM's label. A-Musik is just another cologne label in a similar vein and their close with the MoM guys. Apparantly Jan lives above the A-Musik store, or something. and did i mention that A-Musik is the one of the most under rated (and one of my favorite) idm labels around? Buy anything- you won't be dissapointed. For that matter, anything from that whole colonge experimental scene is worth getting.

there's also a white vinyl LP version that came out earlier this year.

correction: L@N 1&2 are 12" each with 2 exclusives and 2 tracks from the s/t L@N album (which was only released on CD)... the 12"s have different cat #s and are essentially the major label equivalent of singles (ie: album tracks and a exclusive b sides)

sadly, this is just a 4 track 12". It's fucking brilliant, btw! IMHO, The best A-Musik release to date (which is saying a lot, considering the quality of all their stuff). find at all costs. Oh, holosud is Schlammpeitziger & fx.Randomiz. btw, i need copies of the first Schlammpeitziger LP and the remix 10" if you have one you'd like to sell or trade, let me know!! later, [[mlt//vn] np:::Pluramon/'Render Bandits'

The only place i've seen the MoM Glam cd online is at the Mego M.Dos website. But is was almost double the cost of the vinyl plus a boatload for shipping. So expect to pay a minimum of $35 or more for it. Plus with the recent reissue of the Lithops cd here in the US and the good relationship between Thrill Jockey and MoM, it probably won't be long until both the MoM LPs on Soniq get a domestic cd release. btw: if you must get it the m.dos website is at: http://www.mdos.at/index.php3 -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

Another tool you can use is http://www.gemm.com I find it very useful to know what is a fair price and what is a ridiculous price when it comes to imports. -- Sebastien Dalphond, b. soft. eng. Toonboom Technologies Inc. tel 514.278.toon Montreal Canada fax 514.278.boom
