yup! there aren't a lot of great record stores, in fact there's one just about to close that's right up your alley (the noise/ambient/experimental alley, that is). If you're going to be here in the next week or two, you'll be able to catch his going out of business sale. The store is called "Ohm" and is on olive way in between melrose and bellevue avenues on capital hill. I forget the exact address, but it is right next to the Green Cat Cafe. (If you need the address I can dig it up). I highly suggest you stop by the store before they close -- they'll be having a *major* sale and you'll be able to snag some great stuff. That's the best place for music -- other good haunts include Wall of Sound in belltown (corner 2nd & Bell), Orpheum on Capitol Hill (corner of Broadway & aloha(?)) -- and that's about it. Borders downtown has a great IDM selection, but not much in the way of noise. There aren't as many decent clubs around here -- Beat Box seems ok. If you're over 21, your options increase 100 fold. There's electrolush (at the showbox) and arospace. Okay, maybe only three fold. http://www.pulpfiction.com/rave/groovinkim/events.html On Mon, 14 September 1998, at 20:36:31, sfwd productions wrote:
