I second that motion. Two outstanding Electro releases.
Beautiful stuff, definitely check them out if you can.
I don't personally hear any resemblance what-so-ever to B-12 or Black
Dog,
two outfits I don't have much patience for. The 'melodies' never get
saccharine
like with B-12, and the beats never get 'chemical brothers' like w/ dog.
Simulant's stuff is quite a bit moodier, and subtler, the way few
Electro cuts manage
to be; both sparse and full at the same time. Very funky as well- sounds
kind of like an
older sadder R2-D2, with one foot in the 70's, and the other in, well, a
galaxy far far away.
