Speaking of which, who the hell is Genesis P. Orrige, and is it a man or a woman? I saw modulations, and i couldn't for the life of me figure it out...what were his/her contributions? It was somewhat ambigous in the movie...

Psychic TV was pretty heavy in the Acid House scene circa 88-90' (also under the pseodonym "Jack the Tab", among others), and released some suprisingly still listenable singles/collections in that period.

Genesis P-Orridge was the founder of Throbbing Gristle, and the force behind the now-defunct Psychic TV. What I don't know about is if he actually _did_ have implants or sex change or whatever. To furthur myself out-of-the loop, what is Modulations? john "Aphex Twin is killing me. . . with feeling."

Didn't he help start the whole pierced/tribal whatever look back in the day? Now he disowns that whole subculture, as I remember from an interview I read last year. Also, I seem to recall that due to a problem with his adrenal gland, some drug he takesto prevent seizures was processed into LSD -- he's been tripping his entire life, or something to that effect. I also remember something along the lines of "I won't start my next project until my fans come up with a name I like for it." Something very odd and bitchy... Irrevalent... Sorry College is fun... Taking a class taught by a 60 year old white guy who invites bboys into his house to dance. He raps during class and is tracing black and Latin music and dance from their origins up to their entrenchment in NY today... Get to read a book called "Droppin' Science". Life is good. Sam
