2 quickies: as I've seen the full spectrum of reviews in both the European and US coverage ( from absoluely odious scathing hate to glorious drooling adulation ) I'm curious what you IDM people may think. also, more ambient than IDM, but I'm curious why when the subject of Koner comes up, few people refer to Aubrite? , This could be my favorite. Also, with the reissue of Teimo/Permafrost as a double, does anyone know if Permafrost is still available as a single CD? It's the last one I don't have to make a full Koner set. Thanks, Peter np: Koner: Aubrite =========================================== bpm0@interport.net, <also: peter@asphodel.com> Peter Becker - Distribution and Sales/ DJ Pool Asphodel - PO Box 51, Chelsea Station, NY NY 10113 Ph: (212) 604-9362, FAX: (212)604-0783 http://www.asphodel.com ===========================================

This is a fantastic album, this new Unkle release. And Dj Shadow does it yet again. Although I don't dig what the guest singers are doing regularly, nothing's really bad on this album. The Ashcroft track is actually one of the album's better. But what keep striking me is the brilliance of Josh Davis, Dj Shadow. Essential listening this month. As usual, look for review on Surveillance soon. <http://gargamel.com/surveillance> Franz. -- JOIN THE MONOPOLY BANK. The New Agenda / Fake Art

it's pretty good,if a little uneven and not a patch on Entroducing. the tracks with the rock stars are not as bad as i expected.and there is a hidden track on the limited edition cd where you have to skip backwards from the first track and you get 2.20 min of samples of... well, loads of people; -massive attack, bjork, stone roses,de la soul, the james gang ,the doors, velvet underground, air, orbital, frankie goes to hollywood, art of noise, nina simone, grandmaster flash, public enemy, portishead. there's loads more than that but that's all i could identify in a quick run through.good fun. -drew
