Did anyone happen to catch the segment on MP3 files on NPR's "Morning Edition" this morning? Although I only caught the last half of it, I thought it was well done. To my surprise they played a bit of one of the Lego Feet tracks off of the SKAMpler after the segment was over. GD

I didn't hear the MP3 segment, but I did hear an interview this morning with one of the guys from Negativland, basically summing up the issue they're having with RIAA control over the cd pressing plants. It was a very well-done piece, as NPR usually is.

I don't know, but back when I was on the Fall mailing list an NPR correspondent from Chicago was a subscriber, and ocassionally he'd do stories on musical topics that had previously been raised on the list. -d.w.
