Hi all, it's me again. I would just like to thank everyone who helped me gain a lot of understanding by expanding on my original conversation topic of Philip Glass and IDM. I really appreciate it. I posed a question about The Orb and Steve Reich to a classical mailing list, and apparently, those folks are not very openminded at all!

Hmmm... I can see he's never heard of "sampling" before. Anyhow, thank you for everything again, everyone. Oh, is there such thing as "cheesy" IDM music? Several of these classical-types bash Aphex Twin and call him "a crock" and "a sham", citing works like On as being "cheesy" and "amature". Snobbism still isn't dead, sigh... I don't know what cheesy music is supposed to sound like.. how can someone transfer a taste sensation to an auditory one? -Merced Flem
