they've just recorded a single with the two vocalists from stereolab. i can't remember the title; it's in german. it's meant to be released by too pure within the next few weeks...also, _double articulation_, a remixed version of the deleuze tribute _folds & rhizomes_, was released a few weeks back. it features mom remixing all of the tracks on the disc into one 10+ minute opus...finally, they remixed a track by schlammpleitziger that was released on a limited 10" about 2 months ago. extremely nice bleached out, loungy ambient dub in the vein of "subnubis." sc

I've been listening to Niun Niggung obsessively for the last two weeks. Just want to know if there is anyone else out there in the same league as Mouse on Mars? It's sounds to me like they spend months on each track, because they're absolutely brilliant. Whats the matter, can you not see the emperor's fine clothes? I find them ravishing!! seriously though, YMMV with MoM (OK?) They bat about 10-20% with me, but the thing with them is that what is good, is GOOD!! My first MoM record wast Instrumentals, and I think it'd be a pretty weak release if it wasnt for that first or second track! of the 3 or 4 MoM cds I have, I rarely like more than 2 tracks on each maybe, but they are so good I consider them expensive singles. i agree. mouse on mars is beautifully detailed music. 'autoditacker' and 'niun niggung' are both amazing. also the MoM instrumentals album ... all great .. i can't say that i've ever heard anything quite like it so i couldn't say what else to chek out. jan st werner (MoM) has worked on other projects such as pluramon and microstoria (with m.popp of oval)... also very good. the remix MoM did on microstoria's 'reprovisers' is wonderful. their sounds never cease to amaze me... diggin it jf
