Somethin to make all you mericans happy! Apparently, Chris Cunningham's vid for Squarepusher is only gonna be shown in America, where he's apparently signed a deal with Trent Reznor's Nothing label, Humph! Totally blinding line up for Metalheadz on the August bank holiday, Photek and Digital back to back! (but then there's an incredible drum'n'bass night happening at Bagleys that night too, hmmmmm ... what to doooo?) ohh yeh, and the guy who owns the monastery and Chateau in Normandy, who's doing the Monastery of Sound Electronica party, rang me and told me that now Orbital are playing too, plus The Bowling Green have been added. Apparently, you catch the coach from London to Portsmouth on the friday night, then a long slow ferry ride over to La belle France, (the only chance for a kip the whole weekend mind!), then breakfast, lunch and dinner laid on at the Chateau, then parrrrty time till Sunday afternoon, yehhhhhhhh! can't wait! Went into Blackmarket this morning and they played this incredible track, Shy FX's Pandoras box, seeeeriously ssssexy drum'n'bass! Had the lushest time down in Cornwall, back for Aphex's birthday thing at Nubient, then back down there again ... had Larry Heard's 'Dance 2000' part 2 playing the journey down, tis sooooo sublime, can't believe it's his last ever work, that he's going back to work as a computer engineer cos America just doesn't appreciate his genius talents! Tis tooooo sad! Aless

Will be interesting to see what he plays - according to Kirk Degiorgio (quoted in an OLD Tony Marcus interview, unrelated to this tour) "Photek is supposed to be playing a two-hour drum 'n' bass set and he said he doesn't have two hours of drum 'n bass that he likes." Ha ha - I thought that was great ! I *

Heh! Yup, that's pretty funny. When Rupert was booked to play a gig in Toronto that ending up getting cancelled, he was supposed to be spinning dub plates of a bunch of his own material, mainly unreleased stuff. Not sure if he's planning that for this mini-tour or not. Greg

my ears recieved two times a dj set by rupert, and i've to say i really love it. it was announced as 'live', and as he said later 'yes i'm here alive' well 'just' as dj' but a dj with a very fine choice of excellent d'n'b stuff ____________________________________ forcefield | mindless entertainment http://www.sonik.demon.nl/forcefield
