As the most anal retentive d.j (ex d.j. ) perhaps in the world, here
is my solution to Brock's question of how not to fuck up
record covers, which is 1/2 as important as not marring the
vinyl, but still important.
Sleeve your record in a plastic outer sleeve in *this* manner:
Sleeve the jacket so it drops into the record from the *top*, i.e.
opening at the top, jacket drops in.
Sleeve the vinyl, in a paper sleeve, *behind* the jacket.
Write your bpms or choice tracks/comments etc. on sticker labels
on the *outside* on the plastic sleeve.
Even if you're not into any of this, this method of sleeving is
the *ideal* way to shelve records *spine side out* , library style,
without messy plastic sleeves falling all over the place.
DJ Spooky releases, with correct titles and dates:
August 25th: Object Unknown 12", CD single on Outpost/Geffen, vinyl on Asphodel
September 22nd: Riddim Warfare, CD single on Outpost/Geffen, double vinyl
on Asphodel
merci,
Peter
