Also, the new releases section on Brainwashed claims another "official" DJ Spooky 12" is coming out in late August. What happened to the "Riddim Warfare" LP? Dunno about a new 12", but the LP should be out soon. Promos are out already, and although I haven't heard it yet the track listing on the back looked like a full length. It was described to me as more like "Synthetic Fury" than "Songs of a Dead Dreamer", with beats and Kool Keith vox on top in places. When I give it a listen I'll let you know. Maybe Peter at Asphodel can enlighten us on this one? ____________________________________ Brock Phillips - bphil@email.unc.edu WXYC 89.3 FM The New Science Experience Tune in every Saturday night 9-12 AM EST http://www.wxyc.org for live RA broadcast Promos, demos, etc. welcome for submission Email for postal address and details...

it's definitely more concrete, and i think it's a step in the right direction for him. i get the feeling that it's almost too ambitious - there's 21 or so tracks that are packed right up against each other. there is more of a hip-hop feel, especially in the first half, than what you'd expect, so if you had felt that he was getting a bit stale, this might be a good release to check out. mj
